NoteAI ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Yasir Khan. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use NoteAI, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using NoteAI, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your name and email address, either directly or via Google Sign-In if you choose that option. We use Firebase Authentication to manage this securely — we never store your password ourselves.

Meeting content

When you upload a meeting recording, the audio file is stored temporarily with our storage provider (Cloudinary) for processing. The resulting transcript, summary, action items, and follow-up email draft are stored in our database, tied to your account, until you delete that meeting or your account.

Payment information

If you upgrade to a paid plan, payment is processed by Razorpay. We do not see or store your full card number, UPI ID, or other payment credentials — Razorpay handles this directly, and we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed.

Usage data

We track basic usage such as how many meetings you've processed each month, to enforce plan limits and improve the product.

2. How we use your information

• To provide the core service: transcribing and summarizing your meetings
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send you service-related communication, such as billing receipts
• To enforce free-tier limits and prevent abuse

We do not use your meeting content to train AI models, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-party services we use

To operate NoteAI, we share data with the following service providers, each of whom processes data under their own privacy and security practices:

• Groq — processes your audio and transcript to generate transcription and meeting summaries
• Firebase (Google) — authentication and account management
• Cloudinary — temporary storage of uploaded audio files
• Razorpay — payment processing for paid plans
• Vercel — application hosting and infrastructure

4. Data retention and deletion

We retain your meeting data for as long as your account is active. You can delete any individual meeting at any time from your dashboard. You can permanently delete your entire account, including all meetings, transcripts, and associated data, from the Settings page. Account deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

5. Data security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication tokens, and access controls that ensure only you can view your own meetings. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. Most of this can be done directly from your Settings page. For any request we can't fulfill through the app directly, contact us using the details below.

7. Children's privacy

NoteAI is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of NoteAI after changes means you accept the updated policy.
